I think that if you have houses to buy, you definitely have to have jobs. It would be a nice to curb people who like to give their characters very expensive things. (I'm not saying we have any, but there could be potentially. xD) I do like the freedom to immediately have a house because your character has 'been around' here for many years, say, Shane and his brother's ranch. Would I have been able to afford a full sized ranch for them? Definitely not at first. So I probably wouldn't want to do something like that, but yeah. I don't know. xD
