She was enjoying her peaceful day out on town, she had just gotten off her cell phone with the office and it had been a very pleasant conversation. Her dress swayed as she walked along the sidewalk, a smile on her face as she greeted people as they walked by. She was always a happy girl and it just came natural to her. Brown curls framed her face, piercing green eyes glancing at everything. Every once in a while stopping to look in windows and seeing what they had to offer. She went into one shop looking at a pair of cute heels for when she wasn’t pregnant, she found her size and bought them. Moving on she went into a baby store and set to work picking things out for the room, clothes and thing. Her mother and father had bought a playpen and bassinet for her and her sister had bought her a couture dipper bag. She was getting used to being stopped and asked how far along she was, what the gender was. Faith always kept a smile on her face and a cheery personality but she was easily getting tired of it but she wouldn’t let it be known. The last thing she bought was a car seat, and then she exited the store. Faith could feel her moving inside her stomach and then there was a kick. She smiled and headed back to her car, needing to get home and attended to her dogs and horses. Lacy had three pups last night, one black, white and tan, one yellow and white and one black and white sable. That put seven pups in the kennel at this time, she still had two more females to give birth and she still had two pups to sell from a previous litter. As she pulled up her driveway, she caught sight of Shaker running around in his turnout. She laughed and the colts antics and parked her car in the garage and headed in the house to put jeans, tank top and cowboy boots on and pull her hair back. She went into kennel and into Darlas cage, taking one pup at a time and weighing them to make sure they were getting enough. She repeated the process with Lacy’s pup, it also gave the pups handling time and to get use to humans. She fed Darla and Lacy and then worked her way down checking Jade and Amethyst. Then came Dozer, Sparky, Poker and Ace. Ace was her special boy, she let him out and he followed obediently alongside her, the horses were all flicking their tails and waiting by the gate. Im coming im coming, you know things don’t come easier the bigger I get, she spoke with a laugh. Ace waited patiently as she opened the gait and whistled, the mares trotted to the barn and into their correct stalls, Ace staying alongside and making sure they all made it there and then he would stand in the middle and watch each mares stall until Faith had shut each door. The stallions came next and then she fed and watered each horse, spending time with each one, because if it weren’t for her horses or dogs she would have died a long time ago. Sighing she knew the horses needed more than just running in the pasture for exercise, Ace what should I do? Lunge? He barked and she giggled, alright which one first? The dog circled around her and went and sat in front of Jazzy stall. Your giving me the hard one first? She grabbed the lunge line and halter and went in Jazzy stall, and got her ready pushing the door open she led her out into the outdoor, she put her iphone on the fence and put some music on and stuck out her hand, her horse knew that meant go, and that she did, jogging slowly around Faith. She started along with the song and stopped to give the mare the cue to lope. Then she started singing again, Jazzy was a splashed paint, looking something like she had been dipped in paint. She threw beautiful foals but up to this point she hadn’t kept any. She pointed the other way and Jazzy switched beautiful, that’s when Ace sounded the alarm that someone was coming up the driveway. Whoa Jazzy, she stopped and Faith looked at Ace who is it bud? She asked waiting, to see who it was.

Shane had been putting off this day for quite awhile. It was Tiger's day to go out on the road, to get used to cars and other scary things that may lay along it. He was the expert at the 'bombproof' course Shane had up on his land, but by years of experience, he knew that going out of the horse's turf often held the key to unlocking new boxes of fears. Tiger had been especially spooky at first, so Shane fully expected the young stallion to have all kinds of issues. Shane wasn't sure if he was going to stay intact or be gelded, but he really was a stunning horse.
He walked over to Tiger's stall, slinging the saddle over the stall door and the bridle hanging on the latch. He let himself in, staring the stallion in the eye. He always had to join up with his stallions before doing anything with them, because stallions just had issues with someone coming in and usurping their authority. He put the halter on him, and then led him out to the nearby round pen, letting him loose. He grabbed the bit of rope he used, and then proceeded to lunge the stallion, while he joined up. At the end of their session, the stallion came to his back, and docilely allowed him to put the halter on and led him back to the stall. Tiger was tacked up in no time, and Shane was on his way.
Tiger was a minimal chestnut overo, with a bald face, four white socks, and a couple splashes around his barrel. He was quite a magnificent APH, but Shane wasn't sure he wanted to keep many overos in his program, and also Tiger tended to be unusually aggressive to other horses and extremely spooky under saddle. He took the ride up to the road to get the stallion supple and listening to Shane's aids. As soon as they got off Shane's land, Tiger started to tense up.
Shane tried in vain to get him back to the supple, submissive stallion he just had, but it didn't work. His head was up, stiff, and he blatantly ignored Shane's attempt to change that. Shane nudged him up to a trot, which was stiff and jerky. He hoped the stallion would be more receptive at the trot, so he kept massaging the reins and pushing him forward to get back on the bit. After a bit, the stallion took a deep breath and let Shane take control again. There ya are, bud. he told the stallion soothingly. There ya go, Tiger. That's what I want. He let the stallion lope, a soothing gait for them both. It was the gait Shane most schooled, because it had to come easy for the horse, and the horses had to be comfortable at it for hours at a time. A car came by like Shane had scripted it, but Shane kept the stallion's mind occupied, and all he did was shy a little and snort.
Shane started looking around, and saw a nice Paint being lunged. He motioned Tiger for a trot, and the stallion complied, mouthing the bit. He turned down the drive of the ranch, settling Tiger for a nice walk. Tiger actually looked good, for once, arching his neck as he calmly looked around, apparently having burned off enough energy he actually had a brain. Shane heard a dog start barking, and he sent a wave in the direction of the, it looked like a lady, lady lunging the horse. She stopped when her dog began to bark, and he admired the Border who sat obediently near the outdoor arena. His dogs typically wouldn't stop at a warning if they were near the entrance of his land, but would rush anyone who actually stepped onto the land unless he or his brother called them off. They could be protective, although not all of them were. Some just wanted attention.
He stopped the stallion and looked at the horse. Darn, it was a mare. Hey, just letting you know, he's a stallion. I was just working him along the road and thought I'd say hi when I saw a fellow Paint lover. He sent her a smile, keeping Tiger from shifting by getting him to stretch his neck while they stood still. The stallion obliged, closing his eyes as he stretched out.
ooc- Note, my posts will get progressively shorter. x3

She smiled and patted Jazzy's neck, good girl she spoke. Alright thats fine, my mares are fine around stallions. She shook her head as Shaker called out, Damn that colt she could hear him kicking his stall. Which was by the sounds starting to piss Abe off. Excuse me for a second. She opened the gate and led the mare out her head level and low, as they walked back in the barn Shaker called out again, she hissed. Jazzy went back in the stall and she took the lunge rope down to Shakers stall, the tobiano weanling, danced around his stall then put his head in the halter, she led him out, sideways and prancing. Into the outdoor he went and using the end of the lunge line, cracked it on the ground and the colt buck and took off at a lope that got faster and faster till he was thrown his little fit. Then he stopped, are we done now. She asked the bay roan looked at her and licked his lips. Good im glad, sorry about that, Im Faith this is Shaker and the last horse was Jazzy and the border collie is Ace. He barked at his name and she laughed, aren't you a smart boy, hopefully your pups will be like you. Well if you cant tell I breed paints and borders. She took a step toward Shaker and unclipped the lunge line he walked calmly around and stopped a short distance away, she walked out and shut the gate behind her, resting a hand on her belly as she stopped next to Ace. You have a nice horse there as well. She spoke, waiting. If you cant tell so will mine lol

He nodded at her answer, making sure Tiger wasn't paying any attention to the mare. He nodded at the girl, watching her go back to the barn, where one of her young horses must be making a racket. He dismounted, loosening Tiger's cinch and then moving to his head, keeping a firm grip right below his chin. While he strictly allowed nothing to happen, he always took precautions with his stallions. He was a pretty strong guy, but compared to the strength one 1800lb stallion, he was pretty wimpy.
He watched as she came out with a very young horse, probably less than a year. He watched her lunge him, pretty much letting him throw a fit. While some people believed they should let their horses get their energy out, he viewed it as misbehaving, and wouldn't let his horses do that. Of course, as young as her colt was, none of his would have better manners. He just would basically butt heads until the colts and fillies realized they wouldn't get anywhere unless they acted like he asked them. With the colts, he was even more strict if he was leaving them intact. They got away with nothing under his watch. Then again, people turned out horses just fine who were gentle and well behaved using her method, but he did his own thing.
He smiled as the horse just ran out of his energy, stopping and looking at his owner. He even 'answered' her. Oh, don't apologize. I know the pain of misbehaving young ones. He said with a smile, motioning to the stallion he now held. While he was considerably older than her colt, Tiger had been, well, a tiger when he was younger. Still could be. He nodded as she listed the names, but he wasn't sure he'd be able to remember them.
Well,I'm Shane and this is Tiger and I also breed Paints. he told her, and then nodded at the compliment. He's quite a specimen, but because of some of his issues, and of course, being overo, I'm still debating whether he gets to stay intact or not. Being overo isn't enough for me, but combined with the issues I don't want him to pass on, I'm just not sure. He stroked the stallion's white face, for once he seemed docile, but Shane was busy making sure he stayed that way.

She nodded I know how that is with the whole to geld or keep, all my studs are good mannered and pass good traits onto their foals, same with my stud dogs they have provide themselves time and time again. Ace looked up at Faith, panting and whining and then she caught the sounds of a pup winning and out came the ten week old puppy, one of the two she hadn’t sold yet from a previous litter. The yellow and white male whined and stopped, she hurried over and scooped him up and he instantly started licking her face, you little stinker how did you get out? He wiggled and his pink tongue rolled out and she laughed, this little guy is one I haven’t sold yet, hes ten weeks and I have another male from a different litter that his age and is a red and white sable. She set him down by Ace and he sat down and stared at the beastly thing before him and barked. No she spoke and he laid down. She smiled, knowing she would have to register the two soon enough if they didn’t sell, though she always left that up to their new owners, she never made any rules about naming, just to name them and train them. Her dogs, where herders, showers and agility dogs, they enjoyed their life to the fullest and they liked everything their owner did for them. Faith looked at him, remembering she should be polite and at least offer him a tour of the stables, would you like to see the rest of my horses, I only ever kept one overo but I do have a tovero but I think you may like what you see, I can take Shaker with us and you can put Tiger in the pen that is only if you would like a tour of sorts and I might even take you over to the kennel and let you see the rest of my dogs. Smiling she waited.

He nodded. Typically he would decide quite soon after a colt was born, but Tiger just had him on his toes. The stallion was gorgeous, Shane just didn't know whether he would be a better show and ranch horse gelded or a better producer left intact. He would have to decide soon, because he had to know whether he'd be putting up with his antics indefinitely, or just until he could get a vet out to his ranch.
He smiled as a young puppy tottered out to Faith, a rather odd color for a Border. Well, odd to him. Obviously, Borders had more allowable colors than he had realized. He would have to research up on the colors and find out if he himself wanted to introduce one of her dogs into his lines. He didn't need another male right now, but he might be good to have. He just didn't know what else was in store for the colors, whether they could be cryptic merles or even have other issues associated with color.
Sure. he replied easily to her question, staying still until she had brought the young colt out of the pen. He entered with Tiger, dropping the reins for a ground tie and stripping the saddle off the stallion. He then took off the bridle with the other hand, and managed to exit the pen and close the door without dropping his load. He set down his things near the gate, but far enough away that Tiger couldn't get to them. Where to? he asked Faith.
