Not everyone meassures greatness in the same manner. The idea of what makes someone great changes through time and ages, but one thing is for certain: you can create something wonderful here with us. Something we would like to believe is akin to greatness. In Expedition Pern your character(s) will have opportunities to explore their inner most dreams and desires; as well as conquest their darkest fears and nightmares.

Filled with continuous plots, both small and large scaled, you are sure to always be kept in the edge of your seat with anticipation and suspense.

In the Northern Continent the people face annihilation, unprotected from deadly Threadfall that has begun to sweep the land once more. Southern dragonriders protect some of the Holds willing to welcome their kind in return, offering the peace so long ago forsaken when dragonriders had been exiled to the foreign continent over a century ago.

Things in the tropical Southern Continent aren't much better however, the dragonriders facing not only Thread but a second more organic and cloer to home menace as well. A terrorist group, known as the Holdless, thrive in the thick and unexplored jungles. Believing dragons and their bonds to be nothing more than murderous parasites, the well grubbed land of the South able to defend itself against Threadfall itself, they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal.

Already two Queens have died at their hands two turns ago; but their unusual long silence deep in the jungle is starting to unnerve even the Dragonshield members. What treacherous tricks could they be devicing now, hidden deep in the dense and concealing foliage of the forest?

What we have to offer:

• Home of three mature Gold dragons, we provide enough Hatchings for entertainment and Impression of Candidates. Each Clutch only Impresses 5-6 played Candidates to promote closer bonds between Weyrling Classes and enable the lessons to move more quickly.
  
  
• Canon Dragon Colors – We have no purple, red or silver dragons here. If you’re looking for a site with these qualities we have a sister site which does. We also adhere closely (although not 100%) to Impression rules considering sexuality and gender.
  
  
• Major Plotlines that involve every character from Weyrbrats on up as well as Unique Character Groups such as the renowned Dragon Shield, the infamous Brat Pack and the nefarious Holdless.
  
  
• A friendly and welcoming community who will try to include all new members in mini plots when they can. They might try to push more characters on you in their zealousness, but who can really blame them for their eagerness?!
  
  
• Dragonriders, weyrbrats and more are available for adoption over at the Featured Adoptables. Some may be related to other characters and/or are plot important. Many others are also available to be perused in the Adoptables section of the board.
  
  
• We as a group are Open to New Ideas, however the Admins do like to approve ideas that might affect the major plotline before they are set into motion.
  
  
• No Character Limit… yes we realize we may have just released a monster. The only requirement is to keep your characters active, but we trust your judgement on how many you can handle at one time.
  
  
• Pets! Thus far we have firelizards, wild jungle felines and tunnelcats but more variety is just around the corner. Pets are earned on our board through activity and involvement in plots. There is no complicated marks or points system on our board. We know who is involved and who is not, and those constantly active will be rewarded for their efforts and time.

What we are looking for in members:

• Writers who enjoy mini plotting with other membersand want to be involved in major plots as well as unique characters with a penchant for stirring things up… well maybe just a little.
  
  
• Friendliness and ability to get along with other members. Our goal is for you to feel warm and at home with us.
  
  
• Have fun! Role-playing is about having fun after all.
