Aria sighed and threw back the covers, no sense in laying there when things needed to be done. She got dressed and put her hair up and her hat on, boots came next and she went downstairs, sitting at the kitchen table and watching her mother hum and cook, she brought Aria a plate of food and a glass of water, she took her birthcontrol and finished her food before her dad came looking for her. Come on we got things to get done today. Nodding she kissed her mammas cheek and headed out the door. She went straight to the barn and saddled Joker, leading him out she went into the field and mounted, pushing her heels back a little, Joker reared and shot off across the field. A large grin found its way across her pretty little features as the wind tugged at her hat and whipped her face, bring the smell of fresh cut silage. Her parents had switched her to home schooling figuring it was what was best for their daughter, she wouldn’t have the pressures of high school to worry about any more, there would be no more bad influences. Aria pulled Joker up and swung him wide around the cows, pushing him back up to a gallop causing the cows to bellow and take off, Aria was still Aria but there was that offness about her, like when something was missing from your life. Not to mention shortly after she was on the mend, she put herself back in the hospital after Pepper had tossed her right into the fence. The filly was something else, sighing she started pulling Joker back as the cows started heading into the round pen to be loaded up and taken to slaughter. She backed Joker up and patted his neck as she held him steady watching the cows load up, thanks kiddo good to have you back. Her father smiled and she smiled back at him, she was making up for everything bad she had done to her parents in the last few months. Sighing she dismounted and tied Jokers reins up, the stud following her into the barn, he stood for her take the saddle and bridle off and then followed her into the wash rack to get hosed off before into his stall and out into his paddock to be alongside his buddy. She went into the house and looked to her mother, Honey can you run to the store for me, I need milk, sugar, bread and pick up Tobys medication for me, it would be really helpfully if you would just take him with so I can get the guys lunches made. Yes mamma I can do that for you, she smiled and took Toby from her mothers arms and grabbed the list and the money and headed out to her truck, now listen don’t you start screaming cause your ear hurts and such it will feel better in a little while. She smiled and kissed the top of his head as she got the carseat straightened out and shut the door, shoot she ran back in and grabbed a bottle and her keys and then came back out and tossed the bottle in her purse and pulled out of the driveway. Checking on Toby who was asleep in his seat, she sighed and turned the radio up a little bit and started singing along to the song every storm runs out of rain, every storm runs, runs out of rain just like every dark night turns into day every heartache will fade away just like every storm runs, runs out of rain. She stopped and pulled into the store and parked, she grabbed her purse then carefully took Toby out and set him in a cart before going into the store, well if it isn’t miss Aria and this must be Toby your father keeps taking a lot about him. Aria smiled, yes this would be my baby brother and when doesn’t he talk about his kids? They both laughed and she went on her way, yawning and going first to get sugar then milk then down the cracker aisle and then she saw him and froze for the briefest of moments before grabbing what she needed and turning right around and getting out of there before he could even realize it was her.
